Based on Miklós László's play Parfumerie, this is a story of two store clerks who cannot stand each other in person. Constantly butting heads while on the job, the sparring coworkers are unaware that they are falling for each other as anonymous romantic pen pals. Will love continue to blossom once their identities are finally revealed?
She Loves Me was the basis for the 1940 James Stewart film The Shop Around the Corner, the 1949 Judy Garland and Van Johnson musical In the Good Old Summertime, and the 1998 Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan film You’ve Got Mail. This show stands the test of time with a clever plotline and an iconic score featuring music by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof) and book by Joe Masteroff (Cabaret).
